Highly recommended! Rented a road bike for three days in September 2022. The price was fair and the bike was in very good condition -- everything was clean and properly set up / adjusted. Dave (the owner) is a very friendly gentleman from Glasgow -- he showed a great deal of patience before I was able to confirm the definite date and time of picking up the bike. 🙂 Furthermore, I arrived to return the bike after they closed (which I should have realized) and again -- no problem, I texted Dave and he arrived within 15 minutes to collect the bike. Cycling on Rhodes was a great experience too, obviously one should avoid the busy road between Rhodes and Lindos and immediately head for the inland, where you meet a car only once in 20 minutes or so and experience fantastic views of the rugged landscape. The quality of roads was 95% very good, definitely no complaints there. I loved every bit of it all! - 10/31/2022

Dave gave a quick response to my initial enquiry and I had a bike booked in no time.
He delivered the alloy frame road bike to my hotel at the agreed time, fitted my pedals, adjusted the saddle hight and while chatting gave me a couple of tips for rides.
The bike was well set up. New bar tape, good saddle and WELL chosen gears. I was expecting to have to put a bit of effort into some of the hills I was heading for but with this gearing that's not needed. Just spin it out n enjoy the views.

Dave gave good advice re routes and was generally spot on in all respects.

Re riding in Rhodes, as soon as you leave the main roads round the coast, is exceptional. Fantastic climbs on great empty roads - superb.

Very efficient service. I rented a carbon bike for a week and the owner delivered it to me perfectly in time and in very very good conditions. Offered kind advice as to roads, tips etc. So if you fancy riding a bike in Rhodes, this is the go-to place. I strongly recommend it. A pity it was just just to hot to ride longer. Dave was super helpful setting up mountain bike with my own pedals and provided some excellent advice on routes. Bike was perfect and delivery and pickup was as agreed. Wow - what a super place to bike ride. I’d read a review in Cyclist magazine a few years ago and mentally dismissed the place. My mistake. The roads I rode on were generally excellent quality, they are mostly very, very quiet (busier between Rhodes and Lindos, but even then not bad enough to concern me). The hills are beautiful and the west coast breathtaking with some seriously good climbs. There weren’t that many places to find food and water in the hills, so a bit of route planning recommended - 8/23/2021

I have been renting bikes in my trips all over the world, and Get Active Rhodes is by far the best service I have ever had. I booked a very last minute solo-holiday to Rhodes. I found Get Active Rhodes on google and I decided to ask for a road bike. Dave helped me with everything. I landed at 10 pm and the morning after Dave came with a road bike in perfect conditions. Everything was set and ready: even the saddle was already fixed for my height, I was very impressed. The asphalt in Rhodes is very good for road bikes (much better than the brittle and full of holes roads that we have here in the UK). The roads felt quite safe (there weren't as many cars or mopeds as in other Greek islands) and I never suffered the heat while riding. I am not a professional cyclist and not very good with climbing uphill, but I managed to reach every place I wanted with the bike, as the hills in Rhodes are quite gentle.

Hired a carbon road bike for 7 days in August 2020 while on a family holiday

Excellent to deal with - Dave dropped and collected the bike to my hotel exactly when he said he would, and provided several routes and tips on place to ride.

Bike was perfect - carbon Genesis Zero set up with a 32 cassette to get up the many hills in Rhodes.

I rode early morning to avoid daytime heat - much quieter than Spain/Majorca, not many shops once you are up in the hills so make sure you bring food and water along with you.

Fingers crossed I will be heading back to Rhodes again this year, so will definitely be contacting Dave again to hire another bike for my stay. Recommend without hesitation. - 5/17/2021

Went to Rhodes for a weeks holiday and hired a Genesis Carbon Road Bike from Get Active Rhodes. Excellent service and bike was great. Bike was delivered and picked up from Hotel, Dave who runs the show also sent me routes for Garmin around the island which were all great. I was very happily surprised at Cycling in Rhodes. For me rivals Majorca with quality of roads, mountains for good long climbs that are very challenging but not killers. Locals are also just so friendly and there were a number of other cyclists around. Always hot and sunny - so early morning riding a must and the wind can sometimes be very strong on those coastal roads. All in excellent experience and highly recommended. - 8/14/2020

The blog told me about the friendly, professional and helpful service that they provide. And I was not disappointed. The bike was delivered to my hotel the day before I actually needed it. I hired a carbon road bike for a week-long holiday on Rhodes and was so glad I contacted Dave at Get Active Rhodes. Communication was excellent at all times. Dave provided a bike with a perfect sizing for me and also supplied several great routes on the island for me relative to my location, he also supplied .gpx files for my Garmin which was excellent as I didn't know the island that well.

The bike was dropped off at my hotel and arrived in excellent condition, I've hired bikes elsewhere while on holiday and they are usually a bit tired, however, my bike was super clean and obviously very well maintained. Get Active Rhodes should be the benchmark for all holiday bike rentals!

Dave is very friendly and happy to help with any advice you need relative to your cycling trip. I heard about Get Active Rhodes and Dave in Cyclist Magazine when they were the front cover feature a few months ago. I can see now why they featured so heavily in a magazine of that stature.

Dave informed me they are branching into cycling holiday packages which is excellent news. I will definitely be returning to Rhodes for a cycling holiday as it has absolutely everything, great climbs, smooth surfaces, long sweeping descents, stunning scenery and the roads in the south of the island are mostly traffic-free! A cyclist's dream!

Recently hired a road bike from Dave and it has been a breeze from start to finish. Plenty of communication throughout, help with routes, where to go etc.I own a collection of bikes and put the bike I ordered at winter trainer level and the price I was charged reflects this. The bike was in fine working order and with a big range on the cassette, climbing even the steepest hills was achievable. I've had a great few days exploring the island - great climbs, fantastic scenery, respectful drivers (better than Bristol where I'm from), top weather and just all round brilliant cycling. I wasn't expecting Rhodes to be so good. Dave was super helpful, reliable and friendly. Bikes dropped off and picked up on time. We followed 2 of the routes Dave recommended, and had preprogrammed into the Garmin for us. The navigation for the rides started and finished at our hotel, so was really easy to follow. Stunning scenery and seriously quiet roads made for some fantastic cycling. Be prepared for very hilly rides though - there is no flat roads at all when you go inland, but it makes for a great challenge. Would highly recommend get active Rhodes and we will certainly be booking with them again if we find ourselves in this beautiful part of the world again. - 10/15/2019

I made all arrangements over email with Dave prior to travelling and everything was as agreed when I got there. On the day of bike delivery Dave kept me updated on estimated delivery time and then also for collection arrangements at the end - I was able to arrange bike collection later in the morning so that I could squeeze in another ride!

The bike was as described and and well setup/serviced so I had no mechanical issues during my 5 days hire. The Genesis Zero Carbon was a little stiffer and the wheels a bit heavier than what I'm used to, but it was perfectly adequate for my needs of exploring the area along the coast and into the hills around Pefkos - Rides ranging between 20 & 50 miles. The only thing I’d consider next time, especially if riding further, is taking my own saddle as well as pedals. There was nothing wrong with the one supplied but it just wasn’t what I’m used to or prefer.

I found riding on Rhodes roads a joy. The coast road between Lindos/Pefkos/Lardos was the busiest I encountered on the island but not as busy as some roads I encounter at home - the drivers seem respectful, drive slower and gave plenty of room. The best bit was getting away from the coast road and up into the hills around Laerma and Agios Isidoros, the roads were practically deserted and very smooth which meant that I could enjoy the peace and scenery. Whilst the terrain is pretty hilly, it wasn’t too difficult with the gearing I had so I was able to enjoy the ascents which ranged from long and steady to short and very steep (even a section of hairpins to enjoy!), and also enjoy the long descent back to the coast.

I uploaded some routes to my Garmin based on some courses I’d found in Garmin & Strava but I think Dave can also send you GPX files. I’d recommend taking two bottles and re-filling en-route wherever you can, and get out early before it gets too hot! - 9/11/2019

The communication prior to travelling out to Rhodes was prompt and informative. Answering all my 'silly' little questions, due to be a novice cyclist. (Things like, what to take and what will be provided when I arrive). The bike was dropped off as planned and instructions including fitting my pedals was done. The bike came with a combination lock and I chose to hire the garmin device for two days. Dave had preloaded the garmin with a few routes for me, appropriate to my requests. I would recommend you contact your hotel to check where you can store the bike.
Being a novice, I wouldn't know a good bike from a bad one, but I have a 'good' one at home and this felt the same when riding. I had two mornings riding and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would recommend going out as early in the morning as possible due to the heat, but it really is a great way to see the island. I found the roads pretty smooth (although, very steep at times) I also found the drivers very cautious around me. I felt totally safe. Dave was very helpful with route advice before I visited so I could just switch on my Garmin and head for the hills (I planned my own route, but Dave can rent you a Garmin pre-loaded with routes).

He dealt with all my pre-hire queries promptly and thoroughly advising me to opt for a road bike instead of a mountain bike because the off-road stuff was mainly fire roads. This was a good piece of advice. We arranged a drop-off time at my hotel and Dave arrived promptly with the bike, a Genesis Delta 30. Dave had already sent me some .gpx routes for my Garmin and the bike came equipped with a Garmin mount, as well as two bottle cages and a saddle pack with two tubes, a multi tool, tyre levers and a combination lock. The bike was in excellent condition and a nice ride. I did a few hundred miles mainly on the south of the island, and the roads are very good with tolerant drivers. I didn't have a single puncture or mechanical. At the end of my rental, Dave again arrived bang on time to collect the bike from me, and then refunded my bike deposit money very promptly. I cannot recommend this service highly enough, and if you hire from Get Active Rhodes, you will not have a thing to worry about and can enjoy your holiday and the cycling on offer with no hassle. - 8/23/2019

Had a fantastic experience with David from Get Active Rhodes. I hired a Genesis Zero for 4 days, being a low end bike I wasn’t expecting much... I sent my bike fit measurements in advance and asked for a pair of look pedals. David delivers the bike all set up and ready to roll. I set out the next morning and WOW! I could be been on my DeRosa, David had set the Genesis up perfectly, the only thing I really noticed was the rear end was heavier than my normal ride, but in all I cannot fault the Genesis at all, what a great ride! Prior to leaving the UK I informed Dave of the type of cycling I wanted to do and he sent several gpx routes prior to load on to my garmin
These incorporated some beautifully scenic routes that were also challenging at times.
As soon as you leave the coastal roads and head in land there is hardly any traffic. On the odd occasion that you do encounter a car they are very courteous towards cyclists.

As every year we were to spend 14 days in some greek island - this year it was Rhodes. Of course I had to rent a bike to explore the countryside and stay fit next to eating and laying lazy on the beach the whole day.

Some lovely rides when I was here. Very glad I opted for Dave and one of his bikes, it was set up perfectly for the terrain which can be just as hilly as you want it to be. Alternatively you can hug the coast for an easier ride.

Recently hired a road bike from Dave and it has been a breeze from start to finish. Plenty of communication throughout, help with routes, where to go etc.

I own a collection of bikes and put the bike I ordered at winter trainer level and the price I was charged reflects this. The bike was in fine working order and with a big range on the cassette, climbing even the steepest hills was achievable. I've had a great few days exploring the island - great climbs, fantastic scenery, respectful drivers (better than Bristol where I'm from), top weather and just all round brilliant cycling. I wasn't expecting Rhodes to be so good. Navigating the island is simple, just follow the sign to the next village.

Delivery of the bike and collection couldn't have been easier and Dave is a top guy.

The bike was well maintained and Dave also sent me some routes to follow. Alternatively you can hire a Garmin with the routes preloaded. Leaving the coast and going up into the hills there is hardly any traffic and the views are beautiful. The roads are steep in places but worth the effort. Rhodes is a great place to cycle, away from the main coastal routes, the roads are almost traffic free and the scenery up in the mountains is stunning, although be aware there are some steep hills!

Was visiting Rhodes as we have family here, but I fancied a couple of days cycling if I could squeeze it in.
Contacted Dave and received very prompt replies, nothing was too much trouble and a 3 day booking was made.
Brought my own pedals and shoes from the UK and Dave supplied the rest.
Dave dropped the bike off as agreed and pointed me out some decent routes and off I went.
Having cycled all over Europe and the UK I have to say Rhodes is pretty much untapped in its potential.
Quiet roads, respectful drivers, great weather and some harder climbs than you'd expect.
If you fancy a long route - follow the coast and 100-200km is easily achieved, if you fancy hills there's plenty inland. Add the fact that the hill villages are tourist free and have bars - what's not to like?
The genesis bike was faultless and Dave obviously knows his stuff, whilst I was doing a 100km route he toured the island clocking 200km!
Would love to come back and have more time exploring and I'll definitely use Dave again. 100% recommended. - 11/04/2018

Bike is a Genesis road bike. The bike is in excellent mechanical state and equipped with compact tiagra 12-30 cassette.
The bike is a little heavy compared to more higher end carbon racers, newer the less it does roll quite nicely and rides very comfortable.

The roads are pretty good and traffic quite low as soon as you get out of the city and pass the airport. The terrain is quite rolling - lots of up and down, so you will definitely get a good workout and plenty of height meter! 😄

Had been in touch with dave prior to my holiday ( quite a few times 🤗 ) . Was very prompt with answers to my many questions. He sent me some routes for my garmin before hand so I could program them . Bike set up was spot on , no problems with the bike at all , went for a 32 at the back which I found was excellent for the hills especially going up to laerma village . On returning the bike to dave we forgot to take my pedals of ( talking about the rides to much ) but he came back the next day to drop them off . He also emailed me several gpx routes for my Garmin before I flew to Rhodes so I had an idea of routes.

I emailed Dave before my trip to Rhodes to arrange bike hire, he was very prompt in his reply and wanted to know details of the bike set up I needed, dates, timings etc. A couple of days before the trip I emailed again to make sure everything was OK, again within minutes I had a reply.

When I arrived on the island I contacted Dave who at the exact time he said was at the room door with the bike, set up exactly as I had asked! He had been so precise in the set up he felt the need to tell me the reach was 4mm shorter than I had requested.

On delivery Dave stopped to chat and it was very evident he was a very "bike" knowledgeable man and was very familiar with the island, he suggested a few rides and offered a GPs unit which had the routes in it. I didn't take him up on this as I had my own with some rides I had planned.

The bike was well maintained and rode fantastically well, I didn't have to change or adjust anything on the bike, it was spot on.

On one ride a spoke broke on the rear wheel, on my return I contacted Dave who again at the exact time he said was there with another wheel which he promptly swapped with the damaged one, no drama!

To conclude, I found Dave to be a very affable and pleasant man who provided me with a first class service. I would not hesitate to use him again on my next trip and I would, and will, recommend him and the service he provides to anyone. - 9/04/2018

I hired a bike for three days in August. As mentioned by other reviewers Dave is very helpful and responds quickly to email. I hired a road bike that was very well maintained and equipped with a very handy 32 tooth compact chainset. Dave will fit your own pedals and provides the essentials for dealing with punctures, and a lightweight lock that's ideal for a coffee stop. If you get up at sunrise and head into the mountains the heat isn't really an issue. I'm not a fan of hot weather rides but coped fine. I would love to come back in spring and ride all day. The villages are quiet and the roads are virtually free of traffic. On my first ride I was only passed once as I rode about 10 miles up out of Lardos. Even the main coast roads were fairly quiet and drivers generally give you plenty of room. The coast roads are too flat and straight to be fun though, you need to hit the hills. There are steep sections but plenty of opportunities for photos and a breather. The views from the climbs are amazing.
On my last ride I managed to get a mechanical up in the hills. It was my own fault but Dave was very understanding and came to my rescue. If I'm back in Rhodes I will definitely contact Dave again. - 8/12/2018

Rented a bike from Dave for 4 days whilst on a family holiday near Lindos. If you can get away with it, and like cycling, this is a must when visiting Rhodes - the interior of the island is very beautiful/peaceful - in contrast to the coast, which is buys/touristy. There are some decent hills and Dave was very helpful with route planning. I had not come across the Genesis brand before and am used to a fairly high end carbon bike. But the bikes supplied are light, well maintained and perfect for the terrain. Dave is a cycling enthusiast and nothing was too much trouble - he came to the hotel, adjusted the bike and fitted my pedals, and even gave me a lift to a cash point. Prices are reasonable for this quality of bike. Early morning rides were a highlight of our trip. Very highly recommeded. - 8/08/2018

Rhodes cycling was a total surprise to me as it was a last minute holiday and did no research on cycling in Rhodes. The main roads are good and the traffic was light . When off the main roads and in the hills traffic is very light.
Very little chance of getting water/juice when off the main roads the odd cafe/shop but not always open,I needed my 2 bottles and refills.

Couldn't have asked for more: a beautiful well serviced bike which gave me the confidence to ride long without fear of mechanical issues etc and also the confidence to touch nearly 50mph on the descents from the mountains. The roads in Rhodes are surprisingly brilliant - great for either a pootle or longer journeys up into the mountains (did 3 x hilly 50 milers amongst other spins)... Service was perfect - Dave is a top bloke, very accommodating, delivering / picking up the bike at a time when I wasn't out doing family stuff. He even dropped off a new tyre ready for my next days riding when some new roadwork metal shredded the old one... Loved having the bike as my early morning blast before wearing my "dad" persona for the rest of the day also had the good fortune to follow a couple of sizable stags down the road from Appolonia to Learma. Right from the start when I was planning to go to Rhodes I knew I would be hiring a bike as I often do when I go on holiday, I found Get Active Rhodes and did a bit of research, then messaged Dave the owner, the communication was great, he told me he had a range of Genesis road bikes and mountain bikes, I ordered a road bike, I sent him my sizes and it was pretty much all set up waiting for me when I got there, it is advisable to take your own pedals and shoes (I also took my own saddle), the prices were good and you can hire a Garmin off him too, he delivers it to your hotel and picks it back up from the same place, he offers you lots of knowledge of the best places to ride and on climbs flats etc, all in all I would highly recommend Get Active Rhodes, book in plenty time as he does sell out due to its popularity - 8/03/2018

I hired a road bike through Dave at short notice for a couple of days through the Summer - the Genesis road bike whilst alloy don’t let this deter those carbon converts out there - for me it had a great position, excellent gearing (and brakes) they helped make short shrift of the Rhodean terrain. The service was top notch and great that you get a helmet & toolkit although as advised I brought my own pedals & shoes ! The routes in the South around Lindos and Lardos are great especially when you head in-country - quite roads, superb scenery, great super-smooth tarmac and hills and descents to test you to the best. This was my first foray into foreign road cycling and one I won’t forget. Great service & value and a memorable experience!!!(ps: Don’t be fooled by all the 10%signs though!!)

After previous email conversation, Dave provided the right sized road bike for me, delivered it for free to the hotel, and was bang on time for drop off and pick up! Cannot fault the service and equipment. I follow Dave on Strava, so after a quick discussion when he dropped the bike off, I completed a 34 mile route he’d recommended, from East to West via Vati and then West to East through Skiadeni Monastery. Some good climbs and the views were immense. It’s a great way to see the island of Rhodes and Dave’s a top bloke and really knows his stuff when it comes to cycling on the island!

I will definitely be using Get Active again next time we visit the beautiful island of Rhodes.

Very good price, bike was new and in great working order, delivered and picked up from hotel, fast responses on email for drop offs and pick up arrangements. Dave has a great knowledge of the island and cycling, and the pre-loaded Garmin's are a great idea. Rhodes is a lovely place to cycle, very little traffic on inland routes, and lovely views.

Hired a Rapide road bike from Get Active for the duration of our 10 day holiday in Rhodes. Fast response form Dave to my initial enquiry and we quickly firmed up on the details with Dave delivering the bike on our first morning at the hotel and collecting it at the end of our stay. Bike had a 105 groupset and was in excellent condition with ideal gearing for the hill climbs in southern Rhodes. Road conditions on the island are excellent - better than most of the roads in the UK - and no problems at all with the bike. Dave provides an excellent service, and the roads in Rhodes provide some top riding. I rented a Genesis Delta which Dave delivered to the hotel, providing a Garmin with pre programmed routes, along with some hints and tips as what to expect. For an alloy framed bike it was beautifully smooth, and climbed pretty well. The only thing I'd say is that it could've done with two bottle cages due to the 30+ degree heat, but there are plenty of cafes to refuel in if necessary. I'd highly recommend Rhodes as a cycling destination, and would definitely recommend Get Active Rhodes. - 9/06/2017

As a pretty inexperienced road cyclist, visiting Rhodes with my much more competent partner, I was a bit wary about taking on a long ride in such extremes of heat on a bike I wasn't familiar with. Dave was fantastic to deal with, responding to emails well in advance of our trip, delivering the bikes to the hotel and spending a great deal of time making sure i had a good fit. He gave us some recommended routes and despite my original concerns, I really enjoyed the two days on the road. The bikes are great, well maintained and really enjoyable to ride, with a great gear set for the ascents. I can't recommend highly enough! I hired the Genesis Delta 20 road bike for 3 days and it was a great fit, working perfectly and supplied with helmet, tools and spares. All I needed to bring was my shoes and pedals. David even brought me an additional spare tube after the first day with no fuss...absolute gentleman! The Garmin Edge Touring is great just don't forget to charge up as it's very reassuring to have especially when your up in the hills and exploring i.e. getting lost. The local people I met along the way were very friendly and there was minimal traffic for miles and miles once I got off the main coastal road stretch. I hired a road bike for 7 days from 3 Aug. Dave was very friendly and helpful, dropping the bike off at my hotel and gave advice on routes. All accessories included (spare inner, pump, lock, helmet etc) but you will need to take own peddles which Dave helpfully fitted.

I cycled up and around Mount 'Profitis Ilias' from Kolympia - stunning scenery, lots of places of interest and villages to rehydrate and re-fuel! The Pine Forest high up the mountain is beautiful and offers some shade. Fantastic cycling with a range of gradients from steep hairpins to gradual climbs. - 8/11/2017

I booked a bike with "Get Active Rhodes" for my week long holiday the first week in July.
Superb service from Dave from start to finish, he made it so easy to book, just a few emails sorted it all out. He delivered the bike (a carbon Rapide with Shimano 105 11 speed groupset) to my hotel despite me not having any internet connection to let him know that I had arrived, brilliant service indeed.
My steed for the week was in first class condition, with good Continental 25mm tyres inflated to a user friendly 100psi, new cables all adjusted correctly making gear changing a no fuss operation and speed control positive and drama free which was needed on some of the more testing descents. A pump, tyre levers, spare inner tube and a lock were supplied along with an under seat saddle pouch. One bottle cage was fitted to the down tube in which I used my own water bottle which was more than enough, Dave had recommended refilling with fresh cold water from village shops as a second bottle would just over heat in the sun, very good advice as it turned out.
So to sum up; a first class service in every way, inspiring confidence with Dave being only a phone call away. On my next visit to Rhodes I will certainly be getting in touch with "Get Active Rhodes" to book another bike. The price is right too so why bother with the hassle of taking your own bike, get out there and enjoy the ride. - 7/07/2017

Just got back from a wonderful 2 weeks in Rhodes . Decided start of our 2nd week to get in touch with Dave to hire a bike for 3 days to join my brother in law for a few early morning rides( he brought out his own bike ).A few e/mails to Dave and everything was sorted within 15 mins or so , a good quality Genesis Road bike with a 12-30 cassette on the back for the few 8-10 % climbs we expected to come across. Dave brought the bike direct to the hotel along with plenty of good advice...a brilliant all-round service.Quality of the roads around Lindos /Pefkos /Lardos was excellent and the lack of traffic early in the morning was a real bonus too . Would definitely hire again from Dave and explore the west of the island too.

Brilliant experience. we planned a quiet week holiday in Rhodes as my wife is pregnant to relax. it was a few weeks before a triathlon so I mentioned to my wife it might be good to do some cycling too and within an hour or so we had found Dave and booked 2 bikes. It was all so easy and Dave is so helpful. He recommended some great rides tho anywhere in the centre of the island is beautiful and the hills are testing. The quality of these quiet roads is brilliant. You can ride for an hour and maybe see 1 or 2 cars at most but have stunning scenery and great asphalt. quiet holiday became one of my best biking holidays. tho you need to be out at dawn to make the most of it before the heat. - 6/28/2017

I visited Rhodes for a week to play at a rock festival in the evenings and wanted to get some riding done during the day. A quick Google for bike hire turned up a blog review from a few weeks previous and I was convinced Get Active were the logical choice.

Dave was always quick to respond to email queries and gave great service plus helpful information on route options for where I was based in Lindos. The bike - a Genesis- was in excellent condition and gave me zero issues, very stable on the descents and comfortable too.

With ideas from Dave, I put together a few good routes and had a great week's riding. Plenty of hills and mountains here made for great views and enjoyable riding....it's so quiet especially up in the hills with excellent road surfaces.

I was researching road bike hire prior to travelling to Rhodes for a week with my mum and found a few options but Get Active Rhodes really stood out. A) quality of the bikes, b) reasonable price and free delivery, c) super quick and easy communication with Dave.

He arrived nice and early on the drop off date, fitted our pedals and provided helmets, puncture repair kits, spares, pump and happily a couple of bottles as we had neglect to bring any. Gave me a few different route options out of Lindos - we did the Laerma and Thari monastery route that morning and I went out and did a loo of the mountain on the western side of the island the next day.

Highly recommend riding in Greece because there is hardly any traffic and many of the roads have been recently built so pretty decent quality.

I am a keen road cyclists and I was trying to spice up an otherwise possibly boring all-inclusive week in Rhodes (did I mention I am obsessed about road cycling?).
I googled "rent road bicycle rhodes" luckily spotted getactiverhodes.com. Dave replied immediately to my multiple emails and he clearly went extra miles to satisfy any queries and request (i.e. to provide Look pedals with the bike). He delivered for free the bike at the hotel at my preferred time.
The bicycles was an aluminium genesis delta 30 sloped design perfect for the task with a faultless perfectly tuned tiagra groupset and unmissable compact crankset. I ride pinarello and sworks and you realise that the legs are often more important then the machine as did serious VAM with this one too!
Dave provided also an helmet (had three different sizes to try on), pump and repair kit. He explained all the good local loops and details and even forwarded me the garmin connect route when asked for more details.
Rhodes rides are quintessentially perfect! Smooth tarmac has just been laid and way better than uk or Italy. The absolute altitude despite being sub 1000mt offers continuous ups and downs and your 3-4 hours ride can reach easily 2000mt total ascent.
As not used to ride in the heat anymore I tended to leave at 530-6ish to beat the scorching sun!
In 4 hours you can count 4-5 cars if you avoid the coastal routes. Greek drivers are actually very considerate anyway (despite the bad rep) and give you plenty of space when passing.
I can't recommend Dave and getactiverhodes highly enough if you are seriously into road cycling (he also rents mountain bikes actually).
Will try to book an all inclusive in Rhodes again in the future as this the new Mallorca! - 6/13/2017

I found get active messaged them (out of hours on a Sunday) and true to their word they replied. The communication, quality of bikes and overall level of service was fantastic. Dave from Get Active Rhodes (owner) was / is brilliant: quickly answering many of my tedious questions; a great bike series; help and tools to get your bike to the right fit; advice on some routes to take; delivered and picked up the bike from my villa door (which was a little out of the way on a dirt track, so that's top notch).

Rhodes is a great place to ride - it has some good flats to get some speed-freak in; some great hill climbs for the sado's and fantastic views all over the island. Met 7 clubgenoten van de triatlonvereniging DTC uit Heerhugowaard hebben we een prachtige fietsweek op Rhodos gehad. Voor de reis met Dave nauwkeurig de fietsmaten en versnellingen afgestemd. Bij aankomst werden de fietsen keurig afgeleverd en werden we geholpen om de fietsen rijklaar te maken. Zelfs na 2 dagen nog assistentie gekregen met een "32" monteren. Als klap op de vuurpijl reed Dave ook nog eens gezellig een dagje mee met ons. De fietsen hebben het keurig gehouden, geen pech gehad. Aan het eind werden ze weer opgehaald. I found getactiverhodes by google searching. Dave answered the emails quickly and constantly. The bikes were brought straight to the hotel and Dave provided the map and tips of the routes. I cycled with my son, so we took easier costal routes and also some trips to the inland. The roads are almost deserted there and it was peaceful cycling. The bikes were good and the accessories were what they should be. Bring mountable water bottle with you, you really need it in Rhodes. Everything was ok for one week cycling. I used Maps.me android app for navigation and I had android phone bicycle holder, maps.me provided map worked offline with gps without problems.

Hired a couple of road bikes for 5 days. Everything went according to plan even the weather was glorious. Great days out round the south of the island, quiet roads, lovely tarmac, big hills (if you want them).

Dave was also great! Emails answered almost immediately, very helpful and knowledgeable about what to see and where to go. Bikes supplies were almost brand new, also came with spare tubes, pump, bottle holder, etc proved too.

Found the Get Active website via a search engine and so glad I did. Dave is a very friendly guy who delivered our two bikes direct to our hotel and then picked them up at the end of the holiday. Both were well serviced and spare inner tubes, tyre levers, helmets etc were provided and all for a very reasonable price.
Rhodes really is a pleasure to ride in, particularly the hinterland where the roads are practically deserted (apart from goats and deer) amid some spectacular countryside.
Dave provided a lot of advice on routes to try out ranging from reasonably flat coastal rides to more challenging ones where you need your climbing legs.

Hired a bike from get active Rhodes for 5 days of my 14 day holiday. All through facebook messenger. David dropped bike off at my hotel and attached my pedals for me. Good quality bike at a good price. He also gave me a map and showed me some good routes. Went out following morning at 630am. Wow!! Lovely feeling riding on quiet, warm and fairly pothole free roads. (Much better than uk roads) Following day I did a 50 miler up to Profitis Ilias. So peaceful and beautiful. Over the five days I did 160 miles. Wish I could've hired the bike for the whole two weeks but I think my family wouldn't be happy!
5 days was perfect. Best holiday I've had in a long time.
Would definitely recommend get active Rhodes. A lot less hassle and worry compared to taking your own bike. Looking forward to next year!!!

We rented road bikes from Dave of Get Active Rhodes for a couple days. It was the highlight of our trip. Dave made everything so convenient, dropping off bikes for us in our village as well as getting them set up to ride. The riding on the island is fantastic (and very safe) and reminds me of riding in California. Ho noleggiato la bici per due giorni ad un ottimo prezzo. Dave è molto disponibile e pieno di buona volontà, anche se, probabilmente per la poca esperienza, c'è da migliorare ancora qualche piccolo dettaglio. Però Dave è un pioniere sull'isola di Rodi, dove non pensavo che ci fosse qualcuno che noleggia bici da corsa, perciò l'importante è che qualcuno cominci e chissà... nel giro di qualche anno Rodi sarà come Tenerife: un paradiso per i ciclisti. Dave è venuto a consegnare e ritirare la bici ai parcheggi di Lindos (il mio appartamento non era raggiungibile in macchina). A parte qualche problema nel capire dove incontrarci (dato che non conoscevo il paese), il servizio è molto comodo. Gli ho solo consigliato di montare già la pompa sulla bici, anziché darmela in mano, così come prendere una piccola borsa da mettere sotto la sella, in cui mettere il kit di riparazione, anziché dover mettere tutto nelle tasche della maglia. Al posto delle toppe per la camera d'aria è meglio mettere nella borsetta una camera d'aria di ricambio, che si può far pagare al cliente in caso di foratura: è molto meglio spendere 5 € piuttosto che tentare di riparare la camera d'aria (magari da soli e con 35°)! Le strade verso l'interno sono bellissime e molto ben tenute. I tratti sterrati (io ho fatto Monte Ataviros e Ag.Ioannis Artamitis-Laerma) sono invece spesso tenuti male e difficili da fare con la bici da corsa. La bici è più che soddisfacente, robusta e con copertoni da 25 mm, quindi adatta anche agli sterrati. - 9/11/2016

Staying in Rhodes with family gave me the chance for some activity and I learnt Dave is running a cycle renting business there.

Great service from the Get Active Team. I hired a bike from Dave from the Team for a week during August and enjoyed some fantastic days pedaling the coastal roads and mountains of Rhodes.

The bike was faultlessly maintained and Dave dropped off and collected from my hotel in Lindos. Dave also supplied his number in the event of any difficulties or mechanicals.

The roads in Lindos were in remarkably good condition and very quiet. The actual cycling was fantastic and in my view more enjoyable than Tenerife! - 8/26/2016

Hired a bike for 6 days August and went out each day for early morning cycle in mountains behind hotel. Got back in time for breakfast and to take grandchildren to beach. Strava recorded 250 miles climbed 25000 feet. Hardly saw a car,(plenty of goats!) fabulous views - simply idyllic. Last day cycled flat coastal roads stopping for coffee in tavernas. So easy to challenging cycling depending what you want. Cycle hire was friendly and helpful and equipment equally excellent. Coming back next year. Totally recommend. - 8/08/2016

All my credit to Company Get Active Rhodes. I visited Rhodes in week 26 and was preparing for a race Denmark-Paris, France that's why I needed a bike. I rented with GAR and what a service bike delivered direct to my hotel and they also picked it up the next day again. Fantastic place for cycling, you can keep the rain of East Lancs. Great grindy alpine climbs rewarded by beautiful views of the island. David is all over his relatively new venture and good luck to him. Nothings too much trouble, full of advice & offers great backup should you need it. Hired a bike for 5 days in July, was blown away by the service everything was organized before I arrived bike was professionally sized to suite me and no adjustments were required. Bike was brand new and delivered without any extra charge.
I was even given 2 mobile numbers and told to call if I needed help anywhere on the island, now that is what I call service which gave me confidence to explore knowing there was some kind of back up. I was based in Pefkos and found the coast road south very easy going and some great scenery but if you don't mind the hills head up to Laerma, Lake Guarda and Apalloma and be treated to some spectacular scenery.
I got out early to beat the heat but it was well worth it, the roads are pretty good and I found if I hit any main roads the buses and any lorries treated you really well.
I can't recommend this company enough and can't wait to go back. This is one of the best things I have done on holiday and would highly recommend it.
The value of the bike hire was very very good when you consider the service provided, almost forgot you do get a basic tool kit and helmet although I took my own and also had my own pedals fitted.

"Booked a week in lindos in June and wanted to see a bit more of the island. After a bit of digging on the Internet I came across get active Rhodes. Seemed ideal for what I wanted as they offered free delivery and collection anywhere on the island. Dropped them an email regarding hiring a roadbike for the week. The bike was delivered promptly the next morning at 8am. Bikes look brand new and came supplied with helmet, pump etc.. dave, who delivered the bike also gave me some suggestions of routes to go which was great. Wanted a functional road bike for a solo day's ride while at Rhodes - based at Lothiaka near Lardos for week starting 22nd June, weather high 20s to mid 30s degrees C. Initially struggled to find anything but shopper bikes or heavy mountain bikes apart from SD bikes at Rhodes Town who had the bikes but offered to deliver for more than price of day's hire so really non-starter until stumbled on Get Active Rhodes offering great day rate on new Genesis Volant aluminium road bike (choice frame sizes - Dave checked against specs for best sizing too) with free delivery - sounded just what I wanted. Made a phone call and couple emails later all sorted. Communication with Dave very straightforward as has recently moved over from UK/English speaking, on the day bike delivered to apartment on time and setup to my requirements including fitting my pedals (I believe pedals can be supplied also but check first) and with puncture repair kit/pump and helmet if wanted. I think I was the first user of bike so confident no expected mechanical issues. As the weather was warming up from 730am only planned a 50 to 60mile (100KM) route to avoid major heat of day, chose a varied route (some of it previously driven in hire car). Dave recommended that not that useful to carry lots to drink as just heats up and tastes yuck/boils off but recommended carrying a bottle of water initially (in back pocket ideal and I took cereal bars/gels for extra energy) then buying water on the go. My chosen route via Asklipielo - M. Thari - then easterly towards Laerma a small Greek village (great for a drink stop at local Tavernas for bottles of water or Freddo Cappuccino or Espresso whatever you fancy (I went to the Taverna opposite main T junction as come into village - very hospitable & understood some english) drink one bottle and take a new one in pocket (the local were flaked out outside Taverna in heat and wondering why anyone would want to ride in the heat). My target was the climb to Ag.Isodoros (series of steep 10% ish climbs and multiple hairpins), a stop at Achilles Bar towards the top (a friendly 68 year old Greek who makes his own produce and cold drinks and snacks and also speaks great English) for more water and some sesame coated peanuts. He recommended route towards Profila a left hand turn signposted after coming out of Isodoros, reasonable quality road great descent and only odd traffic from locals picking oregano, dropped back down towards Vati and stopped for a Greek coffee and more water at taverna before heading back towards Gennadi and following main coastal road back towards Lardos (bit busier with trucks and holidaymakers) and a battle with coastal wind at times but great scenery and views. Around 3.5 hours ride time (5 hours with stops) & 1500M of climbing (Isodoros was at 500M+ elevation). No hassles with bike capability and light enough to cope with terrain, gearing on cassette up to 30 teeth perfectly adequate. Bike collected as arranged- great to deal with Dave and wish him well on the new venture - highly recommended! - 7/15/2016
